Paola Malanga is the new Artistic Director of the Rome Film Fest. She has been appointed today, Tuesday, March 29 2022, by the Board of Directors of Fondazione Cinema per Roma, chaired by Gian Luca Farinelli (representing the Municipality of Rome) and composed of Valerio Toniolo (Chamber of Commerce of Rome), Laura Delli Colli (Lazio Region), Daniele Pitteri (Fondazione Musica per Roma) and Nicola Maccanico (Cinecittà S.p.A., representing the Ministry of Culture).

Journalist and film critic, one of the founders of the magazine Duel and one of the main contributors to Paolo Mereghetti’s Dizionario dei Film (The Films’ Dictionary), author of famous essays on some of the great authors of world cinema and deputy director of Rai Cinema, Paola Malanga will be the Artistic Director of the Rome Film Fest for the three-year period 2022-2024.

We now have months of intense and indisputably exciting work ahead of us, the heart of which will be cinema in its many nuances, in one of the few cities in the world protagonist of the history of cinema”.
