The Fondazione Cinema per Roma presents the programme for December at Casa del Cinema. Three film series will be shown in the course of the month: from December 2nd to 8th, a retrospective of five films will celebrate the work of Elio Petri, for a journey from reality to the grotesque, to nonconformism and social outcry; from December 15th to 17th, as part of “Città in scena – Festival della rigenerazione urbana”, a cycle of seven screenings in collaboration with the Fondazione Musica per Roma will explore the urban imaginary on the big screen; from December 24th to January 7th, audiences are invited to see “Winter Tales”, a series of eleven “winter” masterpieces to spend the holidays with Casa del Cinema.

Furthermore, from December 17th to 27th, the last part of “Carta Bianca” to Martin Scorsese will close the cycle with a selection of films chosen personally by the great filmmaker.

Two tributes are on the programme: the first (December 2nd) will be dedicated to the producer Marina Cicogna, who passed away on November 4th, while the second (December 9th) will commemorate author Italo Calvino on the one-hundredth anniversary of his birth.

For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Sunday December 3rd there will be a screening of Quattro quinti by Stefano Urbanetti, while on Monday December 4th there will be a new event in collaboration with the Galleria Borghese, the screening of Artemisia Gentileschi, Warrior Painter by Jordan River.
