In guerra per amore, the new film by Pierfrancesco Diliberto – Pif, will be the pre-opening film of theRome Film Fest, which will take place from October 13 to 23, 2016. The screening will be held on October 12 in Sala Petrassi at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. In guerra per amore which follows the hit film La mafia uccide solo d’estate stars Pif together with Miriam Leone, Andrea di Stefano and Stella d’Egitto.
“I am very happy to kick off the Rome Film Fest with my second film and grateful to the Artistic DirectorAntonio Monda for having chosen it” stated the director.
The film is set in 1943: with World War II in full swing, Arturo is having a tormented love affair with Flora. The two are in love, but she has been promised to the son of an important mobster in New York. To be able to marry his beloved, the hero must win the approval of her father, who lives in a small town in Sicily. Arturo, young and broke, has only one way to get to the island: to enlist in the US Army, which is preparing to invade Sicily, an event that will forever change the history of Sicily, Italy and the Mafia.
In guerra per amore is produced by Wildside with Rai Cinema and will be released in theatres by 01 Distribution on October 27th.
The Rome Film Fest, produced by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma chaired by Piera Detassis, will take place from 13 to 23 October 2016 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and in other venues in the Capital city.
