The show “Maria Callas. Letters and Memories”, a deeply moving and fascinating self-portrait of the greatest voice of the twentieth century, directed by Tom Wolf and played by Monica Bellucci, will be held Tuesday 23rd November at 9pm at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, Sala Sinopoli.

From the modest childhood spent in New York to the war years in Athens, from the quiet debut at the Opera to the heights of an international career marked by scandals and private troubles, from the idealized love for her husband to the overwhelming passion for Onassis, this unique tale reveals, for the first time, the true story of Maria Callas behind the legend. Sometimes she reveals to us as Maria, a vulnerable woman torn between life on stage and private life, sometimes as Callas, the artist victim of her needs and in perpetual battle with her voice; and despite her loneliness in Paris during her final years the one who will keep on working tirelessly until her last breath at the age of 53.

The event takes place in collaboration with Fondazione Cinema per Roma.
