Again, this year the artistic director Antonio Monda, the members of the selection committee, Richard Peña, Giovanna Fulvi, Alberto Crespi, Francesco Zippel, Valerio Carocci, and Mario Sesti, Retrospective Curator, will offer the audience a brief anthology of films that influenced their passion for cinema. After western, musicals and noir films, in 2019 they will select their favourite screwball comedies, the sophisticated American comedies from the 1930s and 40s. Each film will be introduced by a conversation featuring directors, actors, and other guests. Furthermore, before each Rome Film Fest screening, a scene from the most famous and beloved screwball comedies of all times will be screened.
