Roma Cinema Arena 2023

From July 12^th to 28^th, the Fondazione Cinema per Roma will launch the second edition of Roma Cinema Arena, the great outdoor movie arena that seats one thousand located in one of the most suggestive areas of the city, the Parco degli Acquedotti (VII Municipio, Appio Claudio district). Every evening, starting at 9:15 pm, the programme will feature three film series introduced by directors, authors, actors and critics: the first will reserve a special tribute to the city of Rome, the second will present a series of masterpieces in their restored version, the third will celebrate the birthdays of great figures in cinema and of films that have made the history of the seventh art. Admission will be free while seats last.

Roma Cinema Arena is organized by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, and curated by Gian Luca Farinelli, President of the Fondazione and Paola Malanga, Artistic Director, in agreement with Francesca Via, General Manager. The event is promoted by Roma Capitale, the Rome Chamber of Commerce, the Regione Lazio, Fondazione Musica per Roma and Cinecittà. The Institutional Partner is the General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual Works of the Ministry of Culture. Roma Cinema Arena is held in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and the Cineteca di Bologna. Cinecittà News is the Media Partner. The series is part of the Estate romana 2023 programme.
