Afghana 5

Zerocalcare Exhibition
Ten years of publishing success, twelve comic books and an animated series: the comic book genius Zerocalcare hasn’t stopped since he appeared on the publishing scene in 2011.
It all started with a book he wrote for himself, La profezia dell’armadillo, to remember the emotions connected with the death of a dear friend. Now this exhibition begins with those pages. The retrospective displays some of the most important drawings by the author from Rome’s Rebibbia neighborhood, along with stills from his first animated series, Strappare lungo i bordi, coming to Netflix in November 2021. AUDITORIUM PARCO DELLA MUSICA 14-24/10 Foyer Sinopoli 10:00 – 18:00 Open to the public

Afghana A photographic report from Emergency’s Maternity Center in the Panjshir Valley
Afghana, an exhibition of photographs by Laura Salvinelli, documents the NGO Emergency’s decision to set up a maternity center in the isolated Panjshir Valley. Opened in 2003, the facility has proven to be an essential service for the health of the area’s mothers and children, offering gynecological, obstetrical and neo-natal assistance free of charge. What will become of all of this now that the Taliban have regained power? The NGO’s appeal to “not leave what is happening out of the media and political spotlight” must be supported. In keeping with Gino Strada’s wishes.
