After the extraordinary success in recent years, “Viaggio nel Cinema Americano” will be back. The interviews with overseas directors and actors who are called on stage to speak to the audience, showing some clips of the films which made them popular throughout the world, were made famous by the Fondazione CinemaperRoma. From March to May 2011, Debra Winger, Christopher Walken, and William Friedkin will take the stage of the Auditorium Parco della Musica, together with Antonio Monda and Mario Sesti, to meet film fans and journalists.

The first event will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 9 p.m. in the Teatro Studio with Debra Winger, the actress who became famous in the 80s with such films as An Officer and a Gentleman, Terms of Endearment, Black Widow and was offered starring roles by major authors including the likes of Bernardo Bertolucci and Jonathan Demme (The Sheltering Sky and Rachel Getting Married).

On 18 April, Monday in the Sala Petrassi at 9 p.m. the Auditorium will host Christopher Walken, whose face, from the TheDeer Hunter by Michael Cimino to Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, has marked all contemporary American cinema. His style and interpretation is remarkable in many films, some of them directed by Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Abel Ferrara and David Cronenberg, to name a few.

Finally, on Monday, May 23 in the Sala Petrassi at 9 p.m. the public will have the opportunity to meet William Friedkin, one of the most representative American filmmakers in the 70s, author of The Night They Raided Minsky’s, The French Connection and The Exorcist.
