Yvan Attal and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi star in “Les Regrets/Regrets” by Cédric Kahn, a film in Competition about love between two former lovers. After his girlfriend leaves him, Bruno plans a cold and sweet revenge. Following is “Plan B”, the debut feature film from Argentinean director Marco Berger, also in the Competition section.

Out of Competition is the debut behind the camera from an actress much loved by Italians, Stefania Sandrelli, with the film “Christine Cristina.” It’s a portrait of Cristina da Pizzano, who after seeing the French court of Carlo V, her father was the astrologist and doctor, finds herself caught between the warring Armagnacchi and Borgognoni abandoned and without resources. Also out of Competition is the film “The Warrior And The Wolf/Lang Zai Ji” by Chinese filmmaker Tian Zhuangzhuang, one of the main principals of the “fifth generation” of Chinese film. Two thousand years Emperor Han sent his army to the far western border of China, beyond the Gobi Desert, to defeat rebellious tribes.

The Focus section has programmed several titles inspired by the battle for conservation of the planet, for example, “Art From Changing Arctic” and “Baobabu No Kioku.“

In the Extra section the public will have an opportunity to hear from the controversial and one of the most internationally renowned young Italian actors and filmmakers, actress Asia Argento. She has participated in the experimental film “onedreamrush” along with 41 other directors (such as David Lynch, Abel Ferrara, Mike Figgis, Harmony Korine). Also in the Extra section, “Fratelli d’Italia/The Brothers of Italy“, “The Afterlight” and “Tokyo Ningen Kigeki“

A solitary Eskimo girl is the protagonist of the funny “Dear Lemon Lima” by Suzi Yoonessi, screening in the Alice nella Città section. Another film in the section is, “Prinsessa/Starring Mija” by Teresa Fabik. It’s set in Sweden where eighteen year-old Maja has always dreamed of being an actress and loved by everyone for her beauty. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the right look for the role.
