DiCaprio brings two films to the Tor Bella Monaca theatre

The Mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, has declared that Leonardo DiCaprio will present his documentaries Water Planet and Global Warming on October 15th at the Tor Bella Monaca theatre, directed by Michele Placido. The announcement took place during the presentation of the 2006-2007 season of the theatre and the event is made in collaboration with the RomeFilmFest. The socially-concerned film star DiCaprio has decided to focus his attention on the environment care and has therefore produced two films in collaboration with Green Cross International.
Besides, DiCaprio will take part at the RomeFilmFest with the Première of Martin Scorsese´s The Departed, starring Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon, scheduled to be screened on October 15th at the Auditorium´s Santa Cecilia Hall.
On October 16th, the Tor Bella Monaca theatre will host “Giovani attori crescono” (Young actors grow up), open happening lead by Michele Placido and Mario Sesti, featuring young actors such as Jasmine Trinca, Cristiana Capotondi, Silvio Muccino and Riccardo Scamarcio.
Finally, a number of films will be screened as part of the RomeFilmFest, such as Richard Linklater´s A scanner darkly and the political documentary Checosamanca.
