The eighteenth Rome Film Fest kicks off with the inauguration ceremony starting at 7 pm in Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica  Ennio Morricone.

 During the event Shigeru Umebayashi will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award: the composer will also be the protagonist of a masterclass for the public which will he will hold at 3:30 pm in Sala Petrassi.

C’è ancora domani is the opening film of the eighteenth edition: on the red carpet the director Paola Cortellesi and the cast of the film.

 The first screenings of the films in the History of Cinema section: at Casa del Cinema the director Mariam Lacombe will present a preview screening of the documentary A Season with Isabella Rossellini.

Four exhibitions are featured in the programme: a tribute to Anna Magnani, the photography of Luigi de Pompeis, the relationship between Sergio Zavoli and Cinema, the historical illustrations and exclusive digital paintings from the DreamWorks Animation films, with Alice nella città and the Rome Film Fest as Cultural Partners.

 At the Teatro dell’Opera the screening of Pagliacci di Zeffirelli, un passo nel futuro by Edoardo Zucchetti.
