Our opening film is The Eyes of Tammy Faye, by Michael Showalter. It’s about an incredible story that happened in the United States and shows how corruption inevitably lurks behind those who play the moralist. The film’s star is Jessica Chastain, and I have no doubt that her extraordinary performance will take her far; it’s an honor to have her at the Fest.
