On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Children’s Day in Korea, the “Kid & Youth Film Festival” (BIKY) of Busan City of Film opens a call for drawings for the poster of its 17th edition.

This year’s theme
The rights of children to be happy

To whom it is addressed
Girls and boys aged 5 to 12

How to participate
1) Compose an imaginative drawing that answers the questions: do you think your children’s rights are still defended? Do you think your lives are full of happiness? You need to convey all your creativity and express yourself freely!
2) Send your drawing to creative_city_rome@romecityoffilm.com, specifying name, surname, age and a brief explanation of the design.

Deadline
18 February 2022

Selection process
Rome City of Film will select a drawing through the BIKY 2022 Selection Committee and then send the selected drawing to Busan City of Film. All the drawings sent by the UNESCO Creative Cities of Cinema will in any case be included in the official poster of the 2022 edition of BIKY and will be exhibited during the Festival period.

The winner
The winner’s drawing will be the official poster of the 2022 BIKY’s edition.

“Kid & Youth Film Festival” – BIKY
From its launch in 2006, Busan International Kids&Youth Film Festival celebrated its 17th edition in 2022. As the only international kids film festival in Korea, it provides not only pleasures but a ground for visual arts education. The festival hosts events such as Film Workshop and Seminars for children, Film and Fun, Poster Contest & Exhibition and Kids’ Cine-Playground, attracting huge attention of cineastes from all over the world while achieving recognition as a Kids&Youth-centered film festival.
