Antoine and Olga are a French couple who have lived in a village in Galicia for many years. They lead a quiet life. They have a farm and restore old abandoned houses to help with repopulation. But a disagreement with their neighbours over a wind farm leads to a point of no return.

COMMENTARY
French, Spanish and Galician sounds shout, scream and fight in the soundtrack of the new film by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, a filmmaker who is ferocious yet very human, edgy yet engaging. In typical Sorogoyen style, the outbursts are rare, but the tension continues to build; menace is suggested by aggressive looks and postures, and by the calibrated dialogue of a perfect screenplay; little by little, all the repressed frustrations rise to the surface until they explode into violence. As dark as May God Save Us, as tense as The Realm.

RODRIGO SOROGOYEN
Born in Madrid in 1981, Rodrigo Sorogoyen studied screenwriting at the Madrid Film School (ECAM). Following two experiences as a co-director (8 Citas and Stockholm) and several TV series, his first film as director was May God Save Us (Best Screenplay at San Sebastián and the Goya Award for Best Actor). He then directed The Realm (7 Goya awards, including Best Director and Screenplay), Madre, and The Beasts, presented at Cannes.

 DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
From the outset, there was one theme I always wanted to come across in the film: justice. When we wrote the story of Olga and Antoine, we were always filled with a terrible feeling of injustice. That frustration, that lack of justice, was the feeling I wanted to explore in this film.
