Starting from the 2022 Rome Film Fest, our seventeenth edition, the Rome Film Fest has been officially recognized as a Competitive Festival by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations). The following are all the awards bestowed today, Saturday, October 22nd, during the awards ceremony that took place at 4:30pm in the Sala Petrassi at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.

PROGRESSIVE CINEMA COMPETITION
A jury composed of the filmmaker and cartoonist Marjane Satrapi, the actor and director Louis Garrel, filmmakers Juho Kuosmanen and Pietro Marcello, and the producer Gabrielle Tana, has bestowed the following awards on the films in the Progressive Cinema Competition:

Best Film:
JANVĀRIS (JANUARY)

Best Director:

for Janvāris (January)

Best Actress – Monica Vitti Award:

· Best Actor –Vittorio Gassman Award:
KĀRLIS ARNOLD AVOTS
for Janvāris (January)

Best Screenplay:
ANDREA BAGNEY
for Ramona

· Special Jury Prize (proposed by the President and selected from among the categories best screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and original score): FOUDRE by Carmen Jaquier, for the cinematography by Marine Atlan

A Jury Special Mention was also awarded to the actress LILITH GRASMUG for her performance in Foudre.

BEST COMEDY – UGO TOGNAZZI AWARD

A jury headed by filmmaker Carlo Verdone and composed of the actress Marisa Paredes and the writer, director and actress Teresa Mannino has bestowed the Ugo Tognazzi Award for Best Comedy (chosen from the titles in the sections Progressive Cinema Competition, Freestyle, and Grand Public) on the film:

A Special Mention for the Ugo Tognazzi Award for Best Comedy was bestowed on RAMONA by Andrea Bagney.

BNL BNP PARIBAS BEST FIRST FEATURE AWARD
A jury headed by the filmmaker and screenwriter Julie Bertuccelli and composed of the filmmaker Roberto De Paolis and the film critic Daniela Michel has bestowed the BNL BNP PARIBAS Best First Feature Award (selected from the titles in the sections Progressive Cinema Competition, Freestyle, and Grand Public) on the film:

Two Special Mentions for the BNL BNP PARIBAS Best First Feature Award have been bestowed on the films RAMONA by Andrea Bagney and FOUDRE by Carmen Jaquier.

THE FS – FERROVIE DELLO STATO AUDIENCE AWARD

From among the films in the Progressive Cinema Competition, Fest audiences have bestowed the FS Audience Award on the film:
