Thursday's films and events

22/10/09 - Thursday is a day rich with special events as the festival draws to a close: Alice nella città will screen in a world premiere, scenes from the up coming movie "New Moon", the second chapter in the Twilight saga. There will be readings from Stephenie Meyer's novel accompanying the footage.

The Extra section will host a Q&A with one of the most celebrated actors in film history, Merly Streep, at 7:30 in the Sinopoli theater.

Joel and Ethan Coen will walk the red carpet and introduce their new film, "A Serious Man".

The Alice nelle città section will screen "Eleanor's Secret" and "Last Ride". The Extra section will show the films "I Knew It Was You", "Antonio Ligabue:fiction and reality", "Rewizyta/Revisisted", and "Jyuryoku Pierrot". The Focus section will screen the Greenpeace documantary: "The Race For the Planet". Today's Special Event is "La Maglietta Rossa" by Mimmo Calopresti about the Davis Cup final between Italy and Chile in 1976.
