The Fondazione Cinema per Roma was established in February 2007 to promote cinema at a local, national and international level.
Always committed to revitalize and support the audiovisual industry in Rome and the Lazio region with an artistic and industrial approach, it supports the dissemination of film culture among audiences, especially young people. It develops film education projects in schools and educational institutions at every level. Over the years the Foundation has worked in collaboration with institutional partners, including the Ministry for the Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Fondazione MAXXI, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film Center), private partners and the entire range of industry associations.
Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato e Agricoltura di Roma, Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Fondazione Musica per Roma are the Founding Members of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma. The Vice President of the Foundation is Laura Delli Colli, the General Manager of the Foundation is Francesca Via.
Rome Film Fest was born in 2006. Since the beginning, it has imposed itself as one of the most important film events internationally. Considerable attention has been paid to involving local organisms, such as the entire capital and the Lazio Region. Website | Archive
CityFest takes place throughout the year and includes several cultural events organized by Fondazione Cinema per Roma, with the participation of celebrities and personalities from the world of art and culture. The CityFest events involve the entire city of Rome, from downtown to the suburbs.
