Ten Novels for the Second Edition of Industry Books
The 10 novels composing the menu that the Italian and international producers will be offered during the next edition of the Industry Books (October 27th, 2011) have been finally selected.
In 2011 The Industry Books initiative, produced with the support of Provincia di Roma, Camera di Commercio di Roma, Regione Lazio, Sviluppo Lazio, UK Trade & Investment, in cooperation with the IBF, Turin International Book Fair Rights Centre, Associazione Calipso, AIE, ANICA and APT, is dedicated to Italian and British authors, in synergy with the International Rome Film Festival’s Focus section which this year shines a light on Great Britain.
The International Jury composed of producers Elda Ferri (Jean Vigo, Italy), Philipp Kreuzer (Bavaria International, Germany) and Tim Smith (Prescience Film, UK), picked up - among more than 60 candidates - 7 Italian novels (among these, 2 unpublished works) and 3 British novels, that will be introduced by the publishers to the New Cinema Network attending producers on October 27th at Casa del Cinema.

- Kings of ‘bastoni’, standing up (Re di bastoni, in piedi), by Francesca Battistella (Scrittura & Scritture, 2011);
- Live Baits (Esche vive), by Fabio Genovesi (Mondadori, 2011);
- Nothing is More Whole Than a Broken Heart (Niente è più intatto di un cuore spezzato), by Vanna de Angelis (Agenzia Letteraria Internazionale, 2011);
- Stealing Fire, by Craig Sterling (2011);
- The Daily Evil (Il male quotidiano), by Massimo Gardella (Berla & Griffini Rights Agency, 2012);
- The Darkest Walk, by Malcolm Archibald (Fledgling Press, 2011);
- The Free Kingdom of the Young Ones (Il libero regno dei ragazzi), by Davide Morosinotto (Edizioni EL, Einaudi Ragazzi and Emme edizioni, 2011).
